Here’s a short video showing how easy it is to install a basic pallet rack. The key components are simply clipped together. First the uprights are held up, while the load beams are slid into place. Once the bottom load beams are attached, the other load beams can be attached without holding the uprights any more.
Naturally, this is the most basic of pallet racks. For warehouses with high ceilings and tall racking systems, it will be much more complicated. Scissor lifts should be used more up and down, to secure the uprights, attach the load beams and add any decking.
Always make sure you use the proper clips to attach the load beams to the uprights. The uprights should also be secured to the floor with proper concrete bolts. An engineer needs to certify the installation to ensure the rack is installed correctly and will safely support the planned loads.
